Hulett: Censorship of free speech must end
Lohmeier, Air Force Academy graduate and fighter pilot, said: “Since taking command as commander about 10 months ago, I have seen what I consider to be fundamentally incompatible narratives. and competitors of what America was, is, and should be. not only prolific on social media, or across the country for the past year or so, but it was spreading throughout the US military. And I had recognized that these stories were of a Marxist nature. “
This is just one example of the dangerous wave of free speech censorship in America. Strong alarms have sounded with the withdrawal of former President Donald Trump from Twitter, Facebook and other Big Tech platforms. Twitter executives have indicated that Trump – who had around 90 million followers – will remain suspended indefinitely, while Facebook’s bogus “Oversight Board” recently banned Trump’s free speech on his platform for two years. Furthermore.
Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz, a longtime Democrat and unprecedented constitutional scholar, said: “We are in a very, very dangerous situation now where the left, which has enormous influence over American universities, has enormous influence. influence on social media, influence certain types of politics in the media, try to suppress free speech, and they are successful, and we have to fight back. What Donald Trump is tweeting – I can disagree with every word he says – but he has a right to say it. When you ban a speaker, you also deny their viewers and listeners access to that speech, and this is an equally dangerous aspect of violating free speech rights.
Censorship of free speech is obviously not limited to Lohmeier and Trump. Many other recently censored officials included Virginia teacher Byron Cross, suspended for comments on transgender issues, and New York teacher Paul Rossi, fired after revealing his school “indoctrinates” students with lessons. anti-racist “to the detriment of the psychology and the intellect of the pupils. development.”
Incredibly, some private employers have initiated the mandatory indoctrination of employees with the CRT, teaching specious claims that America is inherently racist and that one race is inherently superior to another. These employees are forced to listen to Marxist propaganda calling for the destruction of our Western justice system, our market economy and our traditional religions. For fear of losing their jobs and perhaps their careers, most do not dare to speak out freely in opposition.
How quickly could your First Amendment rights be arbitrarily “waived” by a government unit or other employer? Why continue to use Big Tech products which capriciously abolish a fundamental right of our democracy?
Join Professor Dershowitz in the “retaliation”. Demand that Congress and every state and local unit of government take action to end censorship of free speech by our military, public schools, other government units, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and all the like.
