AMRITSAR: Gurmat Samagam dedicated to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’s 400th Prakash Shatabdi Gurpurab was celebrated with total devotion at Maharashtra Raj Bhawan, Mumbai. The event was jointly organized by the Association of Sikhs in Maharashtra, Supreme Council Navi Mumbai Gurdwara and the 400th Prakash Purab Organizing Committee of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. Chairman of Harnam Singh Khalsa, Sant Samaj, and Chief of Damdami Taksal and Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the Minorities Commission of India, graced the occasion.

During the inaugural ceremony held late at night by Gurbani Kirtan in the newly constructed hall of Raj Bhawan, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiari appealed to the advice of sacrifice from Guru Tegh Bahadur and said that such a political atmosphere and equation cannot should not be allowed to grow.
Anyone to redo such a sacrifice.

He also announced that he would hold Gurmat Samagam at the Raj Bhawan every year. He praised the great contribution made by the Sikh community during the period of progress, unity, integrity, community harmony and Corona outbreak and said the benevolence of Sikhs was beyond words. .
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a lover of Sikhs and always wanted to strengthen his relationship with Sikhs. Due to which they give special attention to the celebration of Veer Bal Diwas, the opening of the Kartarpur corridor and the release of Sikh prisoners while paying homage to the centenarians, half centuries and sacrifices of the Guru Sahibs. The governor said the Sikh philosophy is a combination of arms and science.

The Guru Sahib devoted time to the Shaasthras even wielding arms during wars. The Guru Sahibs in the form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji must give us preciousness. He insisted on the need to be ready to confront the country and the anti-social elements and to strengthen peace, unity and brotherhood.
On this occasion, the Chief of Damdami Taksal and the President of Sant Samaj Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa praised the efforts of the government of Shri Narendra Modi to commemorate the centenarians of Guru Sahibs on a special and grand scale and to remember the blessings of Satgurus . He said that in 70 years, no government has attempted to honor the sacrifices of Guru Sahibs, Char Sahibzada and Sikhs like the Modi government. He said India’s existence was due to the sacrifice made by Guru Tegh Bahadur for the protection of Tilak Janju. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made a great effort to make the world aware of the historical role of Mata Gujar Kaur Ji and the Sikh Panth in protecting religion and disbelieving in tyrants for the sake of Gursikhi .
He said that Modi who dedicated this day in memory of my Satgurus Lal to wake up the people of India and remember the sacrifices and martyrdoms they have done for the people of India who are doing a good deed for the Panth. He should be encouraged and praised.
He said that the Khalsa is dedicated to humanity, the Khalsa symbols will only continue to be hung if the Khalsa, being mature in his religion, fights oppression and tyranny with open arms and follows in the footsteps of the blessed Guru Tegh Bahadur.
He called on the sangat to live and practice the teachings of Guru Sahib in their lives.
He said that Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was not only blessed by God but also by his grace in the world. Whom the whole world adores and salutes today.
He said if we don’t remember the blessings of Satgurus, it will be ingratitude.
He called for celebrating the centenary of Satguru with Chardhikala to get rid of the guilt of indifference.
Iqbal Singh Lalpura, Chairman of the Minorities Commission of India, talks about the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur.
He presented his book ‘Brahmanu Bhala Akhiye’ to the Governor.
Mr. Malkit Singh Bal, Mr. Bhai Jaspal Singh Sidhu, Mr. Gian Singh Nerul, Mr. Harwinder Singh Panvel, Mr. Charandeep Singh (Happy) Kamothe, Mr. Jagtar Singh Vikhroli, Mr. Gurmeet Singh Bal Vikhroli, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Bhatia Koparkheri, Mr. Tejinder Singh Vashi, Mr. Joginder Singh were present on the occasion. Kalamboli, Partap Singh Bhel Kharghar, Sukhwinder Singh Sambhi Airoli, Jasbir Singh Dham Chunabhatti, Satnam Singh Ahuja, Sukhwinder Singh Sandhu Nerul, Iqbal Singh Randhawa CBD Belapur, Buta Singh Ghuman CBD Belapur and BJP leader Prof. Sarchand Singh Khiala. The sangats were present.
