Trump demands COVID repairs from China, tears up Big Tech
Former President Donald Trump returned to the political arena on Saturday to demand China pay reparations for the pandemic – and denounce Big Tech’s censorship and alleged interference in the 2020 election, which he called ” crime of the century “.
Speaking in Greenville, North Carolina, Trump called on China to pay $ 10 trillion in reparations to the United States and the rest of the world for its handling of the virus, which has killed more than 3.7 million people. people around the world.
“The time has come for America and the world to demand reparations and accountability from the Chinese Communist Party,” said the former president.
“We should all say with one voice that China has to pay.”
He said nations around the world should also cancel their debt to Beijing.
“As a first step, all countries should collectively write off all debts they owe China as a down payment on repairs,” he said.
Trump also called Dr Anthony Fauci a bad doctor, but a “great promoter” for his constant appearances on television.
“He’s a nice guy, a great promoter, not a great doctor, but he’s a hell of a promoter,” Trump said.
“He loves television more than any politician in this room, and they love television.”
Trump also claimed that social media giants intervened in the 2020 election – targeting Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for allegedly spending millions to help polling stations in “highly democratic areas” adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This election will be considered the crime of the century and our country is being destroyed by people who may not have the right to destroy it,” he said.
“Zuckerberg broke the law by spending millions of dollars – don’t you think he broke the law by squeezing out voting efforts in highly democratic areas?
The former president also spoke out against Big Tech censorship – and spoke of Facebook’s decision to suspend his account for another two years.
“They say they could let me come back in two years. I’m not too interested in that, ”Trump said.
“Maybe they’ll allow me to come back in two years. We have to stop this. We cannot let this happen. So unfair. They arrest a whole group of people. Not just me. They stifle the voice of a much bigger and bigger group.
Trump’s appearance at the North Carolina Republican Convention was the first in a series of speeches scheduled for this summer.
The ex-president used the speech to also criticize the Biden administration for its border control policies, saying illegal crossings at the US-Mexico border have skyrocketed since he left office.
“We never had a problem, and now they’ve blown that one up, too,” Trump said.
“After we instituted these policies, the number of illegal aliens decreased by 91%, but under Joe Biden, illegal crossings increased by 1000% compared to the same period last year. They empty their prisons, they send murderers, drug traffickers, human traffickers and others just as bad to America.
Trump said the Democrats “intentionally and systematically destroyed the sovereign borders of the United States of America.”
“Biden has stopped building walls, suspended evictions of horrible and gruesome people, stopped law enforcement and our revolutionary ‘Stay in Mexico’ [policy],” he said.
“Despite the worst border crisis in history, we had the smallest number of illegal aliens ever deported. Ninety-two percent had a criminal record, and now they’re all released to your communities. The border is just the beginning of Biden’s disasters, ”he said.
